Timberlink Redwood treated fence posts 75mm x 75mm (3” x 3”). Timberlink only sells sawn Redwood posts as this is the top quality timber type for fencing due to its natural inherent cell structure as it treats very well and lasts the longest when treated to Use Class 4. Redwood posts are therefore a premium and hence a more expensive post than whitewood posts which make up the bulk of the market and this difference should be borne in mind when comparing prices and planning your project.
The 75 x 75 fence post is ideal for use with timber fence panels made by Timberlink. The use of metposts/ ie metal spikes or post holders (either driven into the soil or bolted to concrete) means the wooden post starts at ground level and is buried in the soil. This enables the post to have a long life and the 600mm (2’) saved off the post length (had the post been driven into the ground) goes some way towards the cost of the metpost.
- Home grown timber fence post made of redwood for longer life
- Treated with preservative by Timberlink to BS 8417 Use Class 4 in our high pressure plants against rot, decay and insect attack.
- FSC® certified as being responsibly sourced from well managed forests
Fence posts are normally put 600mm (2’) in the ground. If they are to be concreted in please make sure that concrete only is placed round the sides and not under the bottom of the post to allow rain and moisture build up to escape.
