PSE (planed square edge)

PSE is Planed Square Edged timber and is the very highest quality we timber we stock, due to its long growth cycle which minimises knot size. Timberlink carries a large range of imported PSE timber, nearly all Redwood graded as Scandinavian 5^th, which is normally FSC certified.

PSE is usually sold untreated. We can pressure treat PSE with Wolmanit^® CX8-WB to order both green and brown. Please note that with brown treatment, as the timber is planed, the brown treatment tends to come out fairly light brown.

We also stock an even higher high grade of timber, known as unsorted, in 75mm x 225mm out of which we can plane larger sections to order.

We also stock homegrown planed and graded whitewood, Sawn C16 & Easy Edge timber, which whilst not of the same quality as PSE is suitable for a number of uses where a planed finish is required eg pergolas etc.
